There’s no better way to take the edge off a cold winter’s day than with a bowl of hot soup. But for many Western Australians, it’s more than just comfort—it’s a lifeline. That’s why, each week, Crown Perth chefs prepare 170 litres of nourishing soup, delivered to Foodbank WA and shared with nearly 900 households each day.

Recently, Foodbank WA CEO Kate O’Hara joined Crown’s apprentice chefs in the kitchen, rolling up her sleeves and stirring the pot, literally. Together, they prepared the week’s batch, destined for six Foodbank locations across Western Australia.

It’s not just any food. It’s nutritious, quality food that anyone would be grateful to be eating. And by reducing the cost of food, we’re helping people stay in their homes

This initiative is part of the Crown Resorts Foundation’s broader commitment to supporting vulnerable Australians. Through food donations, volunteer hours, and fundraising, Crown is proud to stand alongside Foodbank WA in the fight against food insecurity.

The partnership also empowers Crown team members known as Crown Community Champions to give back in meaningful ways, building stronger, more inclusive communities.

For Crown Perth CEO Brian Pereira, the impact is deeply felt.

“Foodbank plays a critical role in getting food to the people who need it most,” he said. “We’re honoured to support their work and contribute in a tangible and meaningful way. It’s a great source of pride for our team to be involved in something that gives back.”

From the hands of our chefs to the hearts of the community, this is food that does more than nourish. It uplifts, supports, and connects.
